After graduating from Northumbria University, he joined Scottish design agency EH6, where he worked for three years on a variety of accounts such as Kings Theatre, Northern College, Martin Currie and Standard life. Andy has won a number of design awards at regional, national & international level, these include: The Scottish Design Awards, New York Clio Awards, Design Week Awards, The Fresh Awards and The McNaughton Review Monte Carlo and Venice. After moving back to the North East Andy spent some time working for Yellow M before moving to design consultancy NE6 where he stayed for three years working on a variety of accounts such as GNER, Bowey Homes and Her Majesty's. He then spent five years as a Senior Designer at Gardiner Richardson where he managed the identity development and branding of Universal Building Society, as well as managing the design and production of ongoing projects such as Blyth Valley Borough Council, Sage, Go Ahead and Branmore Investments. Andy left Gardiner Richardson in August 2006 to set up Newcastle based Design/Brand Consultancy True Believer. He is also a Visiting Lecturer on the Graphic Design Degree course at Northumbria University where he has been head of First Year. Andy has a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Northumbria University.
